HOW IS CR SCORE DIFFERENT?
CR SCORE is unique in four ways:
We start as early as 7th grade, letting students and their parents know if they are on track to get into college and which type of colleges they are on track to get into.
We provide recommendations, and strategies from college admissions officers how students can improve their standing.
We look at all of the factors that college admissions officers consider (e.g. extracurriculars, volunteerism, work experience, honors, and awards).
We're democratizing access to expert college counseling by making it accessible to all students.
WHAT’S IN THE APP AND THE REPORT?
The APP breaks down your college readiness application and gives a score and detailed recommendations from our team of experts in each of the major sections of the college admissions process: grades and coursework, standardized tests, awards and extracurricular activities and work and volunteer experience. Also, you’ll receive an overall score based on your current grade-level that will help you understand what types of schools you are tracking toward.
Once every 3 months, you’ll receive a full 7-page report summarizing where you stand.
HOW DOES CR SCORE HELP TO REDUCE ANXIETY?
A major source of anxiety for high school students is uncertainty anxiety. By understanding how they are doing and getting concrete recommendations on how to improve CR SCORE helps to alleviate uncertainty anxiety.
IS MY DATA SECURE?
Yes, our data is stored with PCI level 1 and HIPAA compliance. Only those reviewing your submission (our team of college readiness experts) have access to and only while evaluating your submission,
HOW IS THE SCORE CALCULATED?
We’ve worked with college admissions officers to develop a propriety algorithm to score your college readiness. We take into account all data received in your submission. That includes grades, coursework, extracurricular activities, work experience, and awards.
WHAT IS BUY ONE GIVE ONE?
At CR SCORE we believe deeply that everyone should be able to go to the best college for them. For every app subscription, we donate one to a less advantaged student through our non-profit partner doing4others.org.
